I can’t even talk about books without talking about Karen Kingsbury, she’s my favorite author!

Tonight, I’m going to make some time to start her latest book, In This Moment. First though, I wanted to share with you about her books. She has the bulk of her books that involve a particular family called the Baxter’s. I would highly advise starting in order to read this series. Once you read one you will not want to put them down.
If you want to start with the Baxter’s, I suggest starting with the Redemption Series and working through this list here. I am about to start her latest, which is basically an extension of The Baxter Series. She calls it the Baxter Family Collection and it’s basically little snippets that share points in their lives now. I am really enjoying it because it allows the readers to continue on with their story. I’ve even heard rumors that it’s coming to a series on Hallmark too. That would be enough for me to finally get cable again! Seriously…I would just for that!
Her latest book, In this Moment, centers around a principal at a high school who starts a bible study and sees positive results from it; however, he will eventually come phase to phase with a detrimental lawsuit that could risk everything he works so hard to build. It’s very relevant to the day an age we live in, which I think is why I really enjoy them. They are very relevant, plus as you read about the Baxter’s you feel as though you are part of the family too.
Her stand-alone books are just as good as well, there is even a series that centers around 9/11 and some of The Baxter Series does as well. It certainly pulls on the emotions but I enjoy that her books really hit some key topics in our society today as well and events.
Have you ever read Karen Kingsbury books? If not, it’s time to start!
What are you reading this next month? I’d love to add some more books to my list to read.
